In many cases it's actually cheaper. The cost of purchasing MoneyWiz on many platforms is usually higher than just paying the subscription.
Free upgrades: As soon as the major release is ready – you get it. So as soon as we pushed the "Publish" button on MoneyWiz 3, our Premium subscribers got it on their devices. The same will happen with MoneyWiz 3.1, 3.2 updates and so on. MoneyWiz 3 Standard will not be available until we release MoneyWiz 4 Premium – meaning the Standard version will always follow Premium, being 1 version behind.
One subscription unlocks it all: If you were confused how our pricing and subscriptions work, we’re sorry. They really got out of hand. We aim to simplify this by promoting "MoneyWiz Premium" so that just one subscription is enough to use everything MoneyWiz has to offer, on all platforms – iOS, Mac, Android and Windows.
You support us: When more people use the subscription based version of MoneyWiz it’s easier for us to forecast our future incomes and plan better for the future of MoneyWiz. There is a lot we want to do but some things we can’t commit to simply because we can’t know if we’ll be able to afford them long term. For example, if most of our users go Premium, we’ll start building a web version of MoneyWiz so that you have access to all your finances even from a web browser. Don’t worry we won’t discontinue the apps. We love the native experience they provide and we won’t sacrifice this.
