Sometimes you might need to manage your MoneyWiz for iOS database file – export it, make a backup or import a previously exported version. You can do this from MoneyWiz itself!
Before you begin, please note that this feature is only available in MoneyWiz 2.8.0 version and newer.
To begin, please launch MoneyWiz for iOS, go to Settings -> Export and choose from the available options:
- Export database file – if you want to export the database file using your preferred method (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, iMessage – etc. This will launch the iOS Export sheet).
- Replace database file. Select file – if you have your current database file saved somewhere where the Files.app can access, you can replace the database file from here.
- Send database – this will open new Mail.app window with your database included as attachment.
Note! Currently there is a small user interface glitch where various labels might be invisible due to selected text colour. So even though you might not see the “Save” button in the top-right, the button is there and the file will be saved in the desired location if you tap in the area where the button should be. We’re working on fixing this issue.
