From time to time you might notice that not all transactions are visible. For example, you might only see transactions from the last 90 days (or 3 months), with other transactions not visible. You might also see a message that says "There are other transactions, which are not visible because of your filters preferences".
Why this happens?
As the message says, this is because your filter preferences are set in such a way that prevents all transactions from being visible. For example, the default Period filter (how many transactions in the past to display) is set to 90 days.
How to adjust the filter preferences?
In MoneyWiz for Mobile, find cone-shaped icon at the top, next to the search bar:
In MoneyWiz for Desktop, find "Filters" button at the top of your Account register, next to Sort button:
After accessing the Filters, adjust them so that transactions you're not seeing become visible again.
Why do you even set a period filter? Why not list all transactions by default?
You don't need to see all of your transactions in your everyday finances. Also, if you need to review transactions, usually you'll use Reports, which are not affected by your Period filter setting. On the other hand, displaying a shorter list of transactions means MoneyWiz requires less resources to run, which can sometimes be noticeable, especially on older machines.
