When you're inside an Account register, you can use the new filters bar to change what transactions are displayed:
Status filters: Cleared, Pending and Forecast
Let's talk about the Status filter first. In MoneyWiz for Mobile, it's exposed in a new filters row at the top of your transactions list. In MoneyWiz for Desktop, it has the form of three buttons with coloured dots.
It allows you to filter transactions based on transaction status - which can be either cleared or pending. You can read more about the difference between those here.
The Status transaction filter has 3 positions:
- Cleared (green): only cleared transactions are visible.
- Cleared + Pending (green and red): cleared and pending transactions are visible. Pending transactions are placed under a separate heading at the top of your Account register for easy access.
- Cleared + Pending + Forecast (green, red and grey): on top of what was displayed with the previous setting, you now also see your upcoming Scheduled transactions (30 days in the future).
Remember that each time you change this filter, your balance will change to reflect the transactions that are visible.
Please note that it is not currently possible to change the transaction filter to display pending or forecast transactions only.
The default setting is Cleared only.
Type filters: transactions filtered by type
If you need to see only certain types of transactions, you can filter your account by type. This setting is placed inside the cone-shaped icon in MoneyWiz for Mobile and MoneyWiz for Desktop.
You can filter transactions to display only:
The default setting is All.
In your everyday finances, you don't need to look at transactions made 1 month ago. Usually you just need to see a week or two of last transactions. Showing smaller number of transactions at once can increase MoneyWiz's performance, especially on older devices. That's why by default we display only last 90 days of your transactions - but this can be changed.
This setting is placed inside the cone-shaped icon in MoneyWiz for Mobile and MoneyWiz for Desktop.
You can set MoneyWiz to display transactions made in the last:
- 7 days,
- 30 days,
- 90 days,
- all time.
This setting can be changed at any time. Please note that changing how many transactions you see does not cause any transactions to be deleted. MoneyWiz never deletes old data automatically.
