If you receive a message saying “MoneyWiz needs to download the font…”, and you are wondering why that happens, here is why:
macOS has a built-in functionality to ask for new font installation whenever a webview (that’s a screen where the default browser is being used as part of another software) indicates that a certain font is required but the OS doesn’t have it installed. This font (as seen in the screenshot) is one of the fonts used by HighCharts, which is the toolkit we use to display stock charts in MoneyWiz. Since they are a web based toolkit, we display the chart in a webview (as those charts are rendered as HTML files), hence macOS asking for the font, since MoneyWiz needs it because of HighCharts.
You don’t need to install it if you don’t want to (it’s really your choice) because even if the OS doesn’t have it, it will simply replace it with a default system font.
