@Ray - it's best to contact SaltEdge and request your banks (or at least that's what they told us). You can request PSD2 banks to be added here:

So I've not been able to use my iPhone/iPad/Mac apps for the purpose intended (automated transaction download from multiple accounts) for almost two weeks. Are we going to be compensated for the lack of service? Ultimately I've paid for a service which I am not receiving and I cannot say that I am happy about it.

    Hi Paula,

I'm a bit more confused now, the message previously was we needed to wait for 3.6.1 to be published, which I'm still waiting for, however it seems to be that you are suggesting that we should update the accounts to use saltedge and this might resolve the issue?

Can I ask for a clear update to this blog post with the current status, and clear information on what we should (or should not) be doing?

As an aside, you guys have a good product, and I think what you are seeing here is frustrations with communication, not frustration with the product. However the way this is being handled is not very customer friendly in my opinion. (Which is unusual for you guys!)

I agree with andypyeomans amongst others. One month on from an indication that "Once we release for iOS/macOS (hopefully next week some time" and there is no news at all. I am on the beta, and the last update was 9 days ago. Hard to beleive that you're actively working on this, and if you are, you certainly arent keeping your loyal customers informed.

I for one will be thinking hard about renewing my subscription

Well, now my ABN AMRO works since Monday, without the MacOS update. The annoying thing it the need to re-log in for every refresh I try, but it works fine otherwise.

But now I'd like to know if SaltEdge will pickup the Yodlee-only EU banks.

@Ray, first of all thank you for your patience. We're already working on the Windows/Android versions and those should be faster to do, now that we've done iOS/macOS...
To answer your question - we can't automatically migrate the accounts for multiple reasons:

    1. We don't store banking credentials, and connecting again requires the banking credentials

    2. Open Banking will work via SaltEdge, not Yodlee

    3. There is a legal requirement by the financial regulator, that you formally give consent to SaltEdge to collect that data and provide it to MoneyWiz to display it for you.

So basically once the update is out, you just need to disconnect the Yodlee accounts and re-connect them using the SaltEdge Open Banking version of the accounts (at which point the Yodlee version won't even show up in search anymore).

Hello Michael, please contact us via e-mail  hello@wiz.money so that we can assist. This means we have to report the issue to  SaltEdge service. In order to do that, we need to help them identify your connection among thousands of others. For that, we need Online Banking debug information.

Thanks Iliya. I have checked the UK accounts that I use presently and none of them are "Saltedge partners" at present and only "linked" to Yodlee.

Do I need to ask you to tell Saltedge anything or request that they add the bank? If no online access to accounts the usefulness of MoneyWiz to me falls away pretty quick. As the Banks are based in UK/EU at present I would imagine they have to be adopting the new standards so why aren't they showing up in the account list. Barclays bank is but the ones I use aren't. ??

Hi Martin, If your bank requires this type of authentication on every login, then it will be required to authenticate every time you wish to sync this account. If you go to the web-site of your online-banking, can you disable the request of additional codes?

SaltEdge works with banks from all countries, not just from EU.

I agree with comments above - this system only works when the bank account feeds auto update. That's the functionality I pay for a subscription to get. I pay not to have to sit around entering the week's transactions manually. The customer communication has been very poor around this issue. An email to all EU customers before the disconnect would have been highly appreciated as would extra weeks on all live subscriptions in acknowledgment of the loss of core functionality. Without bank feeds, this app is like a wonderful looking car - with no engine!

My Mac verison is broken - it used to work on some Saltedge accounts, but now it will only update the balance - no updates to transaction details. This is on several accounts, both with and without SCA.

Don’t even get past the enter email address prompt for N26. I put the correct email address in and get an error saying it’s invalid.

I am based in UK and my online accounts (not available for weeks now!) all link via Yodlee. I use Android and Windows so waiting patiently for resolution. When Saltedge etc. is sorted are all the accounts going to be linked using their system and will Yodlee accounts (in Europe)  just be migrated. ??

@Tiago - hopefully in a couple of weeks, we're actually progressing a little faster then originally expected. Android is going into testing early next week and if all goes well - release by end of next week. Windows is trailing behind by several days.

Please contact us via e-mail  hello@wiz.money so that we can assist. We're ready with MoneyWiz for iOS beta that includes the Open Banking (PSD2) functionality.

I am sorry to hear you are not completely satisfied with MoneyWiz.  We understand your disappointment, but please note that this is a temporary problem and will be resolved soon (up to 1-2 weeks). Subscription has many features, with online banking being just one of them.  In addition to automatically connecting to banks, subscription offers other features as well as synchronization between all operating systems and devices.

Meantime, you can try adding yours banks using SaltEdge or you can also enter transactions manually, no duplicates are expected when reconnecting.

Hi Alexander, Yes, you're right, there is a lot of confusion and it affects all participants in this process - it seems that no one is ready. We are the last in the chain. The problem is that banks are not ready. Yodlee no longer supports us banks in the EU, but still many banks have not passed to Open Banking and they still refresh the old way by SaltEdge. This state is changing every day, so the information we can give you is not final.

Sadly, I do hold MW to be partly responsible.  PSD2 is not a new initiative it has been in the works for the last five years.  Banks have been working for many years to prepare their systems to support open banking and the underlying APIs.  Whilst MW is not directly accountable (they purchase subscription services from 3rd parties to enable downloads) their partners are.  They have had plenty of time to develop, test and release this capability.

It really comes down to a lack of communication, planning and execution - meaning we are all now thrown back 10 years to keep our accounts in order.  Not, I'm sure, the expectation of the EU when they proposed Open Banking so many years ago.

As an aside, and to Sunshine's point, there are only two or three companies that provide the direct download backend capability to a vast array of apps we all know.  They are all impacted so I'll not be switching any time soon otherwise my frustration will spiral out of control.

That said, MW ... please ... do work with your partners to accelerate the resolution of this issue and PLEASE be more open in the communication with your customers!

@Eugene, yes I confirm. But there's still an issue. Here should MW pay attention. If you have connected two different N26 accounts, then you'll get the message, that this "credentials are already used". And this I don't understand. Because to connect with N26, you need the E-Mail address and password.

And yes, it#s a bit annoying.

Hello Chrisoph, We've recently started a private/closed beta with the Open Banking functionality (i.e. MoneyWiz is ready with the integration). The results so far are pretty mixed - some banks work great, some banks don't work at all, and some are in-between. We're working with SaltEdge to establish where the issues are but so far it seems that the majority of issues are with the banks themselves.
A few other issues were detected so far that are in the hands of SaltEdge to solve. We're hoping to see them solved by next week some time. Once they solve them we'll release update 3.6.2 publicly, which will include the Open Banking functionality, ability to edit pending transactions from accounts connected to a bank and a few other things. Once we release for iOS/macOS (hopefully next week some time), it will take us another week or so to release for Android and a few more weeks for Windows.
